1, Maintenance of extruder
Maintenance of screws and barrels
Cleaning: After each production, it is necessary to promptly clean the residual polyethylene raw materials and impurities in the screw and barrel. Special plastic cleaning materials can be used to clean the screw and barrel. For example, adding cleaning material to the extruder and running it at a certain temperature and speed for a period of time, so that the cleaning material fully wraps around the screw and the inner wall of the barrel, and carries out the residual material.
Check for wear: Regularly inspect the degree of wear on the screw and barrel. The threaded part of the screw and the inner wall of the barrel may experience wear under long-term friction and high temperature. If the wear is severe, it will affect the transportation and melting effect of the raw materials. Generally, wear can be determined by measuring the size of the screw and barrel or observing the quality of the product. If uneven thickness or uneven surface is found in the product, it may be caused by wear of the screw and barrel.
Lubrication: According to the requirements of the equipment, timely lubricate the key parts of the screw and barrel. Choose lubricants suitable for high temperature environments to ensure that they do not decompose at high temperatures and affect product quality.
Maintenance of heating device
Temperature sensor calibration: The temperature sensor is a key component for controlling the temperature of the extruder. Regularly calibrate the temperature sensor to ensure accurate temperature measurement. Standard temperature detection equipment can be used to compare and calibrate sensor readings.
Heating element inspection: Check if the heating element is working properly. If the heating element malfunctions, it will cause the raw materials to not melt properly. Observe the appearance of the heating element for any damage, such as burning or breakage, and use a multimeter or other tools to check if the resistance value of the heating element is within the normal range.
